The worst kept secret in football has finally been made official ahead of tomorrows Merseyside Derby with the announcement that star left-back Leighton Baines has signed a new long term contract with the club.
Rumours have been circulating for the last 2 weeks that Baines had signed the contract and Roberto Martinez has now confirmed that the England international has penned a new 4 year contract at the club ending speculation about a move to Manchester United who are managed by former Everton manager David Moyes.
