SWANSEA City have not received an approach from Everton for Michael Laudrup.
The Swans’ manager is reportedly on an eight-man shortlist at Goodison Park, along with the likes of Wigan boss Roberto Martinez and Porto coach Vitor Pereira.
Everton’s internal candidates for the role, Phil Neville, Alan Stubbs and David Weir, have spoken to the club’s chairman Bill Kenwright about succeeding the Manchester United-bound David Moyes.
But Swansea have not been contacted about the potential availability of Laudrup.
The Dane has been coy about his future, though his agent, Bayram Tutumlu, has insisted his client will still be at the Liberty Stadium next season.
Everton are one of many clubs to be linked with Laudrup, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea among those who are thought to be admirers of the 48-year-old.
