South African International to have Everton Trial

South African international midfielder, Daylon Claasen, will be at starting a trial with Everton today, as he looks to land himself a new deal in England.

Claasen recently parted ways with Lierse before the end of the season due to the fact that his contract was set to expire in June, and he had no intentions of signing a new deal with the club according to Soccer Laduma

It seems that the midfielder’s plan was to secure his release from the club so that he could attend a trial elsewhere as he looks to take the next big step in his career.

Should the 23-year-old secure a move to Everton, he will link up with fellow South African and former Bafana Bafana captain, Steven Pienaar.

The versatile midfielder was linked with QPR last summer and has been likened to Pienaar in style.
