    Sampdoria open talks with Eto’o advisors

    Sampdoria have opened talks with Samuel Eto’os agents despite Everton manager Roberto Martinez confirming after yesterdays game with Manchester City that no contact has been made.

    Sampdoria are looking to replace their star striker Manolo Gabiadini who was sold to Napoli recently and the Sampdoria chairman Massimo Ferrero sees the veteran Cameroonian striker as the perfect fit.

    The Daily Star says that Sampdoria are prepared to match the salary that he currently earns at Everton and that Valencia are also in the hunt for the legend.
