It’s not big or Cleverley – Tom linked again!
Manchester United flop Tom Cleverley is once again rumoured to be joining Everton and is set to turn down a permanent move to Aston Villa according to the Daily Star.
The midfielder has hardly been in scintillating form for Paul Lamberts men and would be seen as a very underwhelming signing should Everton actually sign him.
The 25 year old has made 17 appearances for the Villains this season and was close to joining Everton in the summer, but the club wouldn’t match the fee that Manchester United wanted.
Villa fans are suitably unimpressed with the player despite being on the verge of losing star player Fabien Delph.

From a Villa fan, I won’t be shedding any tears when he leaves, regardless of where he moves to. Maybe it’s Lamberts inept tactics or Cleverly just isn’t good enough. Personally I think it’s both. I for one never wanted him at Villa as I don’t rate him. Maybe Martinez can get him playing
No assists no goals no creativity at all, below average player ye are welcome to him. Unfortunately he is supposed to be your replacement for barkley who is a very forward thinking attacking player, cleverly is a holding mid who isn’t great defensively and even worse in attack, but he can pass sideways and backwards pretty good if that’s what ye want?
