David Moyes has challenged the elusive Kevin Mirallas to rediscover the form that made him an instant hit with the Goodison Park faithful.
The summer signing was a 20-goal top scorer for Olympiakos last season and showed flashes of brilliance in an eye-catching start to life on Merseyside and was instantly appreciated by the fans with his direct, skillful style.
A persistent hamstring problem has hampered the Belgian in recent months however, and his goal in a 3-0 win at Swansea in September remains his only Premier League strike.
Since making his long-awaited return at Southampton in January, Mirallas has featured in six successive games.
Moyes now wants the 25-year-old to step it up and get back to his dazzling best.
“I don’t think he’s firing on all cylinders,” the Blues boss said ahead of Saturday’s trip to Norwich to the Official Everton Website. “I think he’s not returned the way I would like him yet.
“He’s still getting used to the Premier League and I think he’s got to create me more goals and he’s got to score me more goals.
“That’s what I’m waiting for him to do. He knows that, I’ve told him that, and we’re hoping for more.
“His form at the start of the season was excellent and we saw what he’s capable of. I don’t think we’ve really had that off him yet since he came back from his injury.”
The fans are certainly hoping the Super Kev can lead us into Europe at the end of the season with some better displays
