    McCarthy & Mirallas to sign new contracts at Everton

    Various British media outlets are reporting that in-demand players James McCarthy and Kevin Mirallas are going to sign new or extending contracts today to stave off speculation about their futures.

    McCarthy has been promised a new contract since completing his first season and finally looks to have agreed to a new deal.  McCarthy loves it at Everton and this deal will prove a timely boost to the club.

    Mirallas has been subject to various bids through the summer and looked likely to be leaving Goodison Park but the media looked to have been briefed following Roberto Martinez Watford press conference and now looks to have committed his future to the club.
