    Martinez: Everytime Deulofeu got the ball he created opportunities

    Everton manager Roberto Martinez was beaming about the impact of young winger Gerard Deulofeu and says that everytime the young Spaniard got the ball against Sunderland he created opportunities.

    Martinez described the winger who scored the opener as a special talent and says that the assist for Romelu Lukaku was as good as you will see.

    “Gerard was a real threat,” praised Martinez. “Every time he got on the ball you could see that he created opportunities for us.

    “For me, the assist for Romelu Lukaku is as a good as an assist you are going to see in the league, up and down the country.

    “He is still a young man but to see him performing the way he did, three games in a week, shows you how far he has come and how settled he looks – and what a special talent we have in our squad.”
