Manchester join Chelsea in John Stones hunt
Manchester United have joined Chelsea in showing an interest in excellent Everton defender John Stones and will try to use Jose Mourinhos public chase of the defender to their advantage.
The Daily Mirror says that Roberto Martinez has become fed up with the Londoners public chase of Stones and believes that they are “Tapping up” the defender and trying to unstabalise the centre-back.
United manager Louis Van Gaal hopes to use this to his advantage and the report states that he has asked Goodison Park officials to keep him updated if Stones becomes available for sale.
The price for Stones if he is eventually sold will become a British transfer record for a defender and could exceed £50m.
Will John Stones be at the club by Christmas?
