    Liverpool step up Garbutt hunt

    Liverpool are stepping up the hunt of Everton left-back Luke Garbutt with the possibility that the soon to be out of contract star could join their Merseyside rivals on a free in the summer.

    According to the Daily Star Everton would still receive a fee set by tribunal for the training costs of the Harrogate born star but would hate to see another talented youngster leave the club.

    21 year old Garbutt has impressed Everton fans with his similarity to Leighton Baines and looks an impressive figure driving u the pitch and talented enough to become a good defender.

    It is thought that Garbutt would like to stay at Everton and is waiting on the right contract before signing on the dotted line!
