Leandro: Everything is much more dynamic in the English game
Everton new boy Leandro Rodriguez was delighted to score on his Everton under 21 debut and says that he is the type of striker that comes alive when he is in the box.
The Uruguayan says that the training is very different to back home and says that you have to concentrate all the time and there is no walking like back in South America.
“I enjoyed the game,” he exclusively told evertonfc.com. “I’m very happy with my goal because it is important to try to score in your first game. Of course, it was better that the team won.
“In my game, I always try to stay in the area and so I was expecting the ball to come to me.”
“The match was much quicker than what I was used to – you have to run for 90 minutes,” he added. “But the more games I play, the better I will be.
“I’m very happy with the last two weeks. The training is very different to football in Uruguay.
“All the time you have to concentrate. In Uruguay, there are times when players walk but here it is not like that.
“It is much more dynamic – everything is very quick.”
