    Everton and England left-back Leighton Baines caused Everton fans to fear the worst lastnight as the defender went off injured in the friendly against Peru, but manager Roy Hodgson has allayed fears by saying Baines is just suffering with cramp.

    Baines set up 2 England goals last night and was replaced at Wembley by fellow Everton defender John Stones who made his senior England debut and Hodgson seems impressed by the Barnsley born defender saying “It gave us a good chance to see John Stones which was nice.

    “John has impressed me very much. He has been very good.”
