Gareth Barry: There was some good stuff played, like last season
Everton midfielder Gareth Barry felt that his side were back to their best in their 1-4 rout of BSC Young Boys lastnight as the midfielder put in an excellent performance in his sides victory.
Barry felt that the performance was reminiscent of last seasons form and says that they started as they meant to go on and put Young Boys to the sword with good tempo.
“From the first couple of minutes we set out our stall, played some great stuff and their keeper made some great saves,” said the midfielder. “And even from going behind, we reacted really well and kept going.
“It was like last season. It was a great surface out there and people talked about it affecting us, but it helped us.
“It enabled us to play good football, keep the ball on the deck and play one-touch passes at a good tempo.
“Overall, there was some good stuff in there like last season.”
