    Garbutt close to agreeing contract and transfer move

    Everton youngster Luke Garbutt is close to agreeing a new contract with the club before a loan move to Premier League new boys AFC Bournemouth according to the Daily Star.

    The 22 year old left back is away on England under 21 international duty at the moment but is close to agreeing a deal that would extend his stay with the blues.

    Liverpool had been interested in taking the left-back on a free transfer with costs to be decided by tribunal, but Garbutt is ready to commit his future to Everton.

    Bournemouth have also signed former Everton loanee Christian Atsu as they look to make an impact on the Premier League next season under boyhood Everton fan Eddie Howe.
