Marouane Fellaini is taking on his most hair-raising challenge yet – to raise thousands of pounds for Everton in the Community.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Blues’ official charity, the midfielder has committed to dye his famous ‘fro’ silver – but only if Evertonians can reach a fundraising target of £25,000.
The Belgian international will put his iconic hair in the hands of celebrity stylist Josh Wood (an artist’s impression of how this might look is above!) to help boost the charity’s jubilee fundraising mission.
With only a couple of weeks to go until the end of the season, Fellaini is calling on supporters to back his charity challenge today.
“Our fans have already given thousands of pounds to support Everton in the Community but there’s still a long way to go, so I hope that my silver hair challenge will help to bring in lots more money and make a difference,” he said.
“I’ve never done anything like this before but I am happy to help this brilliant charity. It helps so many people and I want to help them too.”

Every penny raised will go to Everton in the Community, which is celebrating its silver jubilee this year.
To mark the anniversary the charity is inviting all Evertonians to be part of an ambitious fundraising campaign to raise £1million.
They are asking 40,000 supporters, the capacity of Goodison Park, to raise just £25 each to help them achieve their target.
Everton in the Community was established on 1 February 1988 and over the last 25 years has grown to be one of the most well-respected and pioneering sporting charities in the UK.
The charity has been at the forefront of challenging health and social issues, including anti-social behaviour, disability, mental health and education, and is now a serious provider of social and health intervention services on Merseyside.
