Starting 11 for next season
So with the season not that far away now im sure where all excited to see who Martinez picks! Im excited to seeing our exciting players being unleashed in a new attacking possession style of football.
My starting 11 would be:
4-4-2

Barkley Fellaini
Deulofeu Pienaar
Mirallas Kone/Jela
Subs
Joel, Hibbert, Alcaraz, Gibson,Osman,Victor,Kone/Jela
I think this would be a quality starting 11 with Youth and experience and plenty of attacking flair, Joel can push Howard as I believe we have a decent goalie on out hands, Alcaraz, Hibbert and Duffy offer defensive cover as I can see Jonny leaving, and if Baines leaves this Brazilian lad from Granda seems ok.
Barkley need to be playing if he wants to become what we all hope he is capable of! Maybe harsh on Gibson who I rate, Osman can also offer cover as a impact sub along with Vic!
I couldn’t think who I’d rather see up top! Kev should player up there as he is a top quality finisher an someone who can beat a man with skill and pace as well as being a deadly finisher! Jela could be a massive player for us if he fires like we all know he can, he might player better under Martinez new slick style, and Kone could also be a massive player for us with his pace power an finishing!

A spurs and everton joint bench of Friedel, Jagielka, Kaboul, Fellaini, Sigurdsson, Holtby and Adebayor would be tasty too

He didn’t forget him. The side originally picked isn’t strong for protecting a defence. Barkley will be a number 10 in a Lampard or Gerrard style not a playmaker like Scholes. Young lads abilities are best used in the final third. Himself and Fella wouldn’t be as good a partnership as people think. Fella and Baines will probably be sold on anyway unfortunately. Can see a new midfielder and winger coming in.

Think Jela will be off and would like to see money invested in bumping up the contracts of Seamus, Barkley, Lundstrum, Oviedo, Vellios, Duffy, and Mirallas; as I think they’ll be the backbone of things to come. Love to see Vellios, Duffy and Lundstrum go out on loan to championship teams this year (with a recall option) so they can grow like Barkley did. Also would fancy holding back cash to get Deulofeu permanantly rather than spend it on another forward..
Darron Gibson is essential to the way Martinez wants to play and I believe will occupy a pivotal role:

I think we will be stuck with Fellani(last season only showed for so called big games I HOPE HE Goes)Jelli could flourish in new style but he’s a traveller so could be gone.The new Barca lad may start on the bench as the Prem can be brutal to knew slight players.Anichbee will kick-on under this challenge and could be the surprise as I do believe he’s grown last season as regards the youth Barkley has got to move forward or be another who lost his way,Duffy will make the grade as soon as an injury gives him his chance then expect a surprise from the youth who you never consider my two Grant or Kennedy and lastly Hibbo and Ossie to help out all season.
