Everton will be looking to take revenge on an Oldham side that forced the 5th round of the FA cup to go to a replay at Goodison park due to the last minute goal at Boundary Park. The winner will be rewarded with a meeting against Wigan at home on Saturday the 9th of March.
David Moyes still has a doubt over Victor Anichebe. The Nigerian picked up an injury in the reverse fixture a week ago. The Everton gaffer has also stated that there were a few injuries picked up in the loss to Norwich, with Fellaini being rumoured to be struggling. Seamus Coleman, who returned against Norwich after a month out, might not be able to play another game after only 3 days. Long term absentee Tony Hibbert is not in contention.
Latics manager Tony Philliskirk has 3 doubts in defender James Tarkowski and midfielers James Wesolowski and Carl Winchester. The man who did the damage to Everton last time round, Matt Smith, could this time be in the starting line up after a week of full training and coming off the bench against Portsmouth last Saturday. Former Everton man Jose Baxter will return to Goodison for the first time since his contract rejection in the Summer.
