    Everton turn to Islam to help beat slump

    Everton could be set for a move for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani as they attempt to inject some positivity into their down trodden team.

    The Daily Mail reports that Everton representatives made an inquiry for the 27 year old forward over the weekend over his availability.

    The striker shone at last summers world cup and has 8 goals in his last 5 appearances and 21 for club and country this season.

    The Algerian international score twice in his side’s 3-1 win over Pacos Ferreira on Saturday.
