Everton to step up Senegalese defender pursuit
Everton are set to step up their pursuit of Senegalese defender Kara Mbodj after losing out on Angelo Ogbonna according to the Liverpool Echo.
The Echo claims that Everton gaffer Roberto Martinez will now turn his attention to 25 year old Genk player Mbodj who can play as a centre-back or in defensive midfield as he looks to boost his defensive options.
Mbodj has made 15 appearances for his national team and is very highly rated in the game. He looks likely to leave Genk in the summer and the Premier League could be a good destination for the lanky defender.
Anderlecht are also chasing the 6ft 3 ½ right footer.
Will Everton sign defenders this summer or rely on youth?
