Everton in talks with highly rated Gambian striker
Everton are in talks with the agent of highly rated Gambian striker Modou Barrow according to Sky Sports News.
The 21 year old Gambian is hot property in Sweden at the moment having scored 8 goals in 15 appearances for Ostersunds FK in the Swedish league and his agent Willy Mackay has been in talks with Everton, Norwich, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton Wanderers about a move for the youngster.
“There is a great deal of interest in Modou and that is no surprise as he been the best player in Sweden this season,” McKay told Sky Sports.
“I have spoken with several clubs, including Everton, Bolton, Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday about Modou and they are keen on him.
“He is available for as little as €1.5million and he is also on comparitively low wages so he would be a bargain for someone.”
The assistant manager at Ostersunds Billy Reid who helped to nurture Everton player James McCarthy and Wigan Athletic player James McArthur at Hamilton reckons that the player is destined to become a Premier League player
“I would stake my reputation on the line by saying that I fully expect Modou to play in the Premier League because I feel he is good enough to play at the highest level,”
