    Everton and Spurs target Arsenal striker

    Everton are interested in signing young Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom who is out of contract at the end of the season according to the Daily Star.

    The England Under 20 international is also wanted by bitter rival Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund, who want to sign the striker this month rather than wait until he is on a free transfer.

    Gunners Arsene Wenger wants Akpom, a late sub in Arsenal’s last two games, to stay.  The striker has been on good goalscoring form for Arsenals academy teams and is set to spark a transfer scramble.

    The academy graduate is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign teams and his fee would be set by tribunal at the end of the season if the clubs can’t agree a fee if he was to move in this country.
