Everton set to wrap up defender deal
Everton are in pole position to wrap up a deal for Argentinian defender Ramiro Funes Mori after agreeing a £5m fee for the River Plate centre-back.
Reports say that Everton head scout Kevin Reeves has been in Argentina and has recommended the defender be signed quickly, but Villarreal are also interested in signing the 24 year old.
The left footer has one cap for Argentina and is known to be a threat from set pieces and helped his club win the Copa Libertadores this season scoring in the final.
The club are also in advanced talks with Ukrainian winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
If Mori signs will the club still need another centre-back?

I’ve never heard of him he could turn out to be a good signing although Martinez will probably coach him how not to be a threat at set pieces, I can’t help but think Wolfsburg were after lukaku last season but didnt have enough money to make a tempting bid but now city are on the verge of offering 40 mill for de Bruyne they might want rom again, it said on here yesterday expect one major out going, maybe we are keeping stones after all!
