Everton set to lose another important member of staff
Everton are set to lose another important member of the backroom staff after former player and Everton under 21 manager Alan Stubbs closes in on a move to become the manager ofHibernian.
Stubbs has enjoyed positive talks with Hibees Chief Executive officer LeeannDempster and may follow academy coach Alan Irvine out of the Goodison Park door.
The former Everton player enjoyed a good time in Scotland during his spell as a player spending 5 years with Glasgow giant Celtic and has been instrumental in bringing through academy players from the Everton under 21 team, to some extent helping nurture players like Ross Barkley, Conor McAleny and John Stones.
Stubbs was interviewed for the Everton managers job before losing out to current manager Roberto Martinez and has made no secret of wanting to become a manager.

No one is indispensable. Someone will step up to replace these folks. I wish both of them well in their future positions. With one caveat,I hope that should it go seriously tits up for Alan Irvine, then he won’t try to return to ‘his club’.
I just hope e got we’ve got contingency plans for all these departures
You always have to respect the fella wants more responsibility.
managing gives you the opportunity to build a team and a reputation and I wish stubsy well
