    Everton set for Serie A defender chase

    Everton could be set for a move on Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo according to Italian Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

    The 25 year old Colombian is one of a number of defenders that Everton are interested in signing and Inter are open to the centre back moving on.

    Murillo joined Internationale in the summer of 2015 and had a very good first season, but last season was a mixed bag for the South American.

    Standing 6ft tall, Murillo is seen as being strong in the air – without being the tallest and is wanted to shore up an ageing blues backline.

    Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams we well into their 30’s and manager Ronald Koeman will be looking to add younger players to his defence.
