Everton preparing Hatem Ben Arfa bid?

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is preparing a bid for troubled Newcastle United winger Hatem Ben Arfa according to the Surrey Mirror.

The Frenchman has fallen out with Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew and was recently fined for appearing to come back to pre-season training overweight, a fine that Ben Arfa disputed saying that the extra weight was muscle.

Ben Arfa has lost his number 10 shirt to new signing Siem De Jong and is expected to leave St James Park this summer.

Whether Martinez would be prepared to risk the atmosphere in the dressing room is another story.  Ben Arfa is a very talented player, but seems to court trouble.
