Everton Player Ratings V Cardiff

Howard – 6 – Was hardly worked, so didn’t really have the chance to earn higher. Didn’t cock up anything major.

Coleman – 6 –  Solid at the back, didn’t do much going forward.

Jagielka – 7 – Solid, actually sprayed some nice long passes.

Distin – 7 – Same as Jagielka but without the long passes. Probably made more recoveries than Jagielka though.

Baines – 7 – Nothing got past him down his side, he was one of our biggest threats throughout the game.

Mirallas – 4 – Didn’t take one man on, poor crossing and missed two free headers.

Osman – 6 – Wasn’t as bad as previous weeks, but didn’t really influence the game at all.

Fellaini – 7 – Showed his professionalism on the pitch today. Got around, made the challenges he needed to and kept it simple.

Pienaar – 6 – Some nice touches and passes into Baines. His crossing/general final product is dire. Should be threatened to be dropped.

Barkley – 6 – Personally didn’t think it was one of his better games. Always looking to be involved and two great through-balls, but overall was a bit sloppy.

Jelavic – 5 – Tough one. Was quite good outside of the box in terms of working hard and laying it off to others, but in the box again there was no threat and a poor attempt.

    Kone – 5 – Didn’t change anything.

Deulofeu – 7 – For only a 5 minute chance, he got involved, got a couple of shots away and put in a deadly ball which none of our useless players attacked.
