Everton outmuscled in defender bid? May return with offer
Everton are set to be out outmuscled in the bid for Italian international defender Angelo Ogbonna by West Ham United according to Tuttosport.
It was reported on Friday evening that West Ham had won the race for €10m plus another €2m in performance-related bonuses and this could spark a bidding war with Everton not giving up hope of landing the left-footer.
Ogbonna has struggled for playing time since signing from rivals Torino in 2013 and is said to be the number one target for Everton manager Roberto Martinez according to the Liverpool Echo.
Everton have been linked with a number of defenders including Nicolas N’KouLou and Scott Dann, but don’t want to miss out on Ogbonna so may up any bid.
