    Everton interested in England Under 19 striker

    Everton are interested in signing Crewe Alexandra and England Under 19 international striker Max Clayton, who is out of contract, according to the Daily Mail

    The highly rated 20 year old front man has also attracted interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sunderland and now Everton manager Roberto Martinez wants to take the youngster on trial with a view to a long term agreement at Goodison Park.

    Crewe would still be due compensation if Clayton was signed by an English team but would ideally like to keep the player who is rated as one of the best youngsters outside of the Premier League.

    Clayton has played 74 times for Crewe and scored 9 goals.
