    Everton in talks for £5.5m defender

    Everton are in talks with River Plate for their Argentinian international Ramiro Funes Mori as they look to shore up their back line, according to the Liverpool Echo.

    The 24 year old centre-back has been linked with the club for a couple of weeks and now they are looking to sign the player who has one cap for Argentina.

    Everton are looking to replace Sylvain Distin and Antolin Alcaraz, who both left the club on free transfers over the summer and are in the market for a striker, centre-back and number 10 creative midfielder.
