    Everton going for A Song

    Everton are being linked with a move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song according to Spanish website Fichajes.net.

    The former Arsenal man impressed on loan at West Ham last season and could be available for a bargain price of £3.5m, although it would be a strange transfer bearing in mind the amount of midfielders at the club already.

    The 27 year old Cameroonian looks set to leave the Nou Camp in search of first team football.

    A move does seem unlikely though with Song currently out following ankle surgery and Everton renown to love a good old fashioned medical.
