    Everton firm interest in Arsenal striker

    Everton are showing firm interest in signing Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom according to the Daily Express and the Daily Telegraph.

    The England under 20 international is out of contract in the summer and has already received pre-contract agreements from a number of clubs overseas including Borussia Dortmund, FC Twente and Feyenoord.

    The striker is also on the watch list of Everton, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

    Akpom made his fourth first team appearance of the season in the weekends 3-2 win over Brighton and Hove Albion, but is holding off signing a new contract in search of regular first team football.

    Akpom scored against Everton in the Youth Cup Quarter Finals last year.
