Everton are weighing up a move for Sampdoria’s midfield sensation Giacomo Calo.

The 17 year-old Italian has featured only for their youth, but has scored 10 goals in the corresponding campaign.

The Genoa-based side are preparing to offer him his first professional contract, but they could face a struggle to keep hold of him.

Everton are one of a number of sides on his trail, although Roberto Martinez will have to fend off interest from Spain to land the young Italian.
