    Everton enter race for Dutch Newcastle United target

    Everton have joined Newcastle United in the race for highly rated attacking midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum according to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

    Newcastle United are confident of wrapping up the coup after sending Managing Director Lee Charnley to Holland to try and tie up the deal, but not Everton are said to be entering the race.

    Everton reportedly lost out on Angelo Ogbonna yesterday and are desperate for new additions including an attacking midfielder.

    Wijnaldum is unlikely to attend the PSV Eindhoven training camp as a move to the Premier League beckons.
