Everton encouraged by Crest Questionnaire response

Everton Football Club has been encouraged by the initial success of its consultation – part of the process to design a new crest for the 2014/15 season.

Towards the end of last month the first phase of the Club’s ‘Crest Consultation’ was launched. The Blues have already received well over 15,000 completed questionnaires from Evertonians online as well as generating feedback from hundreds of Blues’ fans who have given their views in Everton One and Everton Two stores.

Every supporter has been given the chance to help shape the new crest design. The consultation ends on Sunday 15 September 2013 and the Club would like to encourage feedback from even more fans.

To provide Everton with your thoughts on how you want the new crest to look, supporters can complete a questionnaire at evertonfc.com/questionnaire. There is also an option for fans to upload their own designs or sketches at evertonfc.com/uploadyourcrest.

Alan Myers, Director of Communications at Everton Football Club said: “The number of Evertonians getting involved has been hugely encouraging, all positively wanting to help in the design of our new crest.

“The selection process is obviously a critical factor in this process but almost as important is the chance for fans to have their say before the designers start their work.”

Alan added: “I would urge any fan who has not been involved yet to do so.  It only takes a few minutes and hopefully together we can produce something we can all be proud of for many years to come.”

After the 15 September deadline all feedback will be collated and used to assist in the design process of the new crest. An online vote will then take place to choose the final design.

Evertonians who have a registered customer number, based on ticket purchase history or membership – an estimated 280,000 fans – can participate in the voting process.

The final designs will be created by independent agency, Kenyon Fraser, who will collate all of the original suggestions, ideas and feedback to create a number of options.

It’s the first time that all Evertonians have had the chance to play a fundamental role in the development of the next Club crest, which reinforces the Blues’ commitment to listening to and engaging with its fans.

A number of crests have been submitted to MyEvertonNews.com and TheEvertonForum.com, which have been sent to Alan Myers.  To see the 49 designs submitted so far, view the links below.
