    Everton chasing league 2 star

Everton are chasing Wycombe Wanderers league 2 star Kourtney Hause according to SkySports reporter Pete O’Rourke.

The former West Ham trainee signed for the club in July 2012 and made his debut last November.  The 18 year old is currently out injured with an Avulsion fracture of his left ankle, but according to reports Everton lead the chase for his signature with Blackpool, West Brom and Huddersfield also in contention.

Hause signed a new contract with Wycombe Wanderers back in February that extended his contract until 2015, but it is thought that Roberto Martinez is determined to sign the talented centre back.

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth said of the 18 year old when he signed his contract: “It’s a hugely important signing for the club. I’ve said I want to protect the assets of the football club and myself, Lee and Dobbo consider Kortney to be a huge asset.

“What he’s done already as a 17-year-old proves how far he can go in the game. I believe he may play at the highest level and to sign somebody like that and have them associated with Wycombe is great for the club and its future.

“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to keep hold of him for another couple of years.”

Hause had been an ever present this year before injury put him out and he is expected back in action before Christmas.

Liverpool and Spurs have also been linked to the player in the past.

    1. Perhaps we’ll sign him and let him stay there “on loan” After all how many centre backs do we need really? I hate all this speculation that comes with “windowtime” A largely Sky construct.
