David Henen signs for Everton in 5 year deal
Twitter reports have said that the long running transfer saga of young Belgium striker David Henen looks to finally be over.
Henen has been training with Everton for a number of weeks and now a photo posted from a local taxi driver on twitter seems to confirm that Henen is now indeed an Everton player signing a 5 year contract

Mick Herr ( @mick222herr) posted an image with Henen in the back of the taxi and will add to an increasingly brilliant transfer window with the transfers of Gareth Barry, Muhamed Besic, Romelu Lukaku, Sam Byrne and Brendan Galloway already confirmed.
Christian Atsu is likely to sign on loan for the blues and there are also rumours of a loan move for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo doing the rounds alongside former loanee Gerard Deulofeu.
On top of that the club has seen new contracts for Ross Barkley, Seamus Coleman, Roberto Martinez & Tony Hibbert
Is this one of the best transfer windows for Everton in recent history? Comment below or have your say on our dedicated Everton Forum at www.theevertonforum.com/forum
If we have such a good youth system and so many bright prospects why are we only signing more kids ? We’re no stronger than last season ?
if we get Negredo, we will be serious title challengers we have a great back 5 with back up. our midfield is well stocked with quality players and now our attack is right up with the best of them COYB
This time last year I wrote about a time to be positive for all Everton fans. David Moyes left the club and in reality there seemed to be an all consuming dread of things to come. A new manager in Bobby Martinez (sorry cant stop calling him that it must be a scouse thing) who was after all said and done, an FA Cup winner but oversaw the demise of Wigan to Championship football. Like some of the players under his charge, Bobbys much praised predecessor Moyes took the high road only to find it led to no mans land. Dan Gosling, Jack Rodwell, Joleon Lescott, Jose Baxter to suit were fine examples of should have beens, but they asked to leave at the first sniff of better wages, more pitch time or the prospect of greater success. That I suppose, is the fickle world of football sometimes and I admit that it has to be a draw for footballers with a passion for glory but ultimately with loyalty coming second. I wish I could say the same for Rooney but we all know that he remains a fan, has done his level best not to score against us (in my opinion) and is irrelevant now given that a new brighter shining star in Barkley has signed his foreseeable future to us.
With the acquisition of our most expensive and I honestly concur most under rated striker in the league in Lukaku officially announced to the fans. Gazzer Bazzer, Mo Besic with the likes of Kone, Oviedo and Pienaar and Mirallas coming back from injury for the new season, I can stand proud as an Evertonian without a foot in my gob ‘again’ and proclaim that Everton and its fans are going to have a season to relish.
In honorably assisting the unhappy fans in choosing the new very beautiful and proud badge, its support of an ‘English’ kit manufacturer in Umbro once again and in its unrelenting new style of play on the pitch we have stamped a new era. We now have the most charismatic and it must be said charming and intelligent manager in the league. We have real talent on the field and in the ranks. I would hate to speculate as so many do on our possible signings before the transfer window shuts, but do you know what? I honestly don’t care now. We already have a team to rival any side and on the day, we can beat any team with the talent we have, domestic or foreign. More importantly, the team consists of players who think that as well.
I have to mention the enormous loyalty in Ossy and Hibbert plus our very own legends Big Dunc and Big Joe on the coaching staff. Evertonians, you’ve never had it so good!
Everton FC!
