Darron Gibson still wanted at Everton
Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is set to be offered a new contract at the club, despite suffering a raft of injuries that have kept him out of action since he ruptured his cruciate ligament nearly 2 years ago.
The Liverpool Echo claim that Everton will offer a new deal to the midfielder to discuss a new deal before his latest contract runs out next summer.
Gibson would be one of a number of Everton first team players to sign a new contract including a host of academy players and also captain Phil Jagielka.
The club will sit down with Gibson once the bulk of their transfer activity that remains get sorted this summer.
Should Darron Gibson get a new deal?

It’s got to be pay as you play if they’ve got any brains …….. Having said that it is Elstone were talking about.
Darron needs to step up this season. There is no reason he can not be the first choice ahead of Gareth Barry. Hopefully Macca will still be on board and not allow himself to be unsettled. If he needs someone to stroke his ego and tell him he is wanted I can give a few days.Plus Clev and Mo should be pushing for inclusion so the mid field is starting to look solid. Same with the back four, decent competition for places exist and I hope this time they can all work together straight from the off. So if we have a decent strike force at the kick off we should be OK.
