City join Stones chase as redtops can’t decide if he is being sold or not

Manchester City are set to join the John Stones transfer merrygoround – IF Everton decide that they will cash in on the talented defender this summer.

The Daily Mirror claims that Manchester City will wait until next summer if the club decide the player is not for sale this summer.

The paper claims that Everton are holding out for £34m for the defender  then in the same article they say Everton will only “possibly” sell if the fee goes above £30m.

Once again the Daily Mirror is doing its hardest to sell our players and the next Mirallas, McCarthy, Lukaku or Stones article will not be long behind.

How many Everton players will the Daily Mirror try to flog this season?

    1. The more the merrier,I think he’s gone lads,so lets hope the interest from City and Utd is true. Let battle commence. If he goes to Chelsea then I would like Remy in the deal (Chelsea must contribute to his wages),the thought of Koné starting for us sends shivers down my spine.

    2. We should try to disregard these lazy journalist articles, hard I know, we’ll have the last laugh because these papers are losing out to the web ,and they will be no more, won’t be long before we will see a special box just for Journalist in your local job centre, can’t wait,

    3. Every football supporter believes their club is unfairly treated in the press but the past few years have seen an increasing interest from papers (The Express and The Mirror seem the biggest culprits) selling our players for us. it is extremely annoying but I try to see it as a compliment though that is little compensation for the unrest it could cause in what is a pivitol season for the manager and many of the playing staff after last season.

    4. The Star and Express are usually at the forefront too. I hate this period it has sod all to do with football, just money. It causes damage to the fan’s belief in their club or individual players. Either bin it and let a man be sold whenever an acceptable price is agreed or make any sales illegal as soon as a season starts. Even if these players start the season this circus will wind up again come Xmas

    5. Agree the papers are dam annoying and the lack of disipline and the fat cat clubs lack of decency and class in trying to pull our players is pathetic. This is not a way to run a proper competitive league .
By the way if Stones is worth 34 million now I would imagine at the end of next season his stock will rise to 40 million thus no need to seek or panic he is our asset !
