    Chelsea ready to launch £20m John Stones bid

    Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is readying a bid for Everton’s young defensive star John Stones according to the Daily Star.

    The 19 year old centre back has been a revelation this season having been brought into the side as cover for the injured Phil Jagielka or Sylvain Distin.  His cultured displays have been brought to the attention of England manager Roy Hogdson, and Stones is an ourside bet of making it to the World Cup.

    According to the reports Stones is currently changing agents and Chelsea will offer a bid once a new agent has been reported.  Stones was signed from Barnsley for £3m and can also play right-back.

    3. Why do the ExpressGroup so desperately wish to destabilise us? This one could have legs I suppose. Terry is no spring chicken. Cahill will need a new partner when Luis goes to Barca. And we could use the 45 million he’ll cost them. We can then loan him back until he’s no longer wanted.
