Berbatov offered to Everton for £1m
AS Monaco have contacted a number of English Premier League clubs with a view of offloading former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov according to the Daily Mail.
The report states that Berbatovs family are keen on a move back to England and the French club will allow him to leave for £1m.
One sticking block would be the 33 year olds insistence on a £70,000 per week deal.
Crystal Palace, Hull City and QPR have also been approached about the deal.
Roberto Martinez has also denied that Everton will replace the departed Samuel Eto’o.

Bite their hands off
Bobbys being coy again…saying we don’t need extra players to regain form. Funny that, when the clubs playing better, higher in the table than us are signing players to strengthen and maintain form. Here we are again no wiser, no stronger having a disaster of a season. I think Berbatov may well help us realise potential again but at £70k a week- jog on Berby! What ever happened to looking in the lower leagues for that aspiring hero? Why gamble on one player when we could probably get three lower league players for the same amount. We saw City and Chelski go out to lower league sides of 11 players who worked harder more dogged and inventful football. So why are we entertaining the likes of Berbatov. I think the Eto’o headache proved that latter day achievement is no guarantee of results for us and there was certainly no loyalty there. Id rather Bobby risk it on another Beckford with a real desire to be in the prem. Bobby please make this window count, if we get knocked out the Europa cup this far from the drop zone, this one time admirer will be calling for the sack.
