Agent hints at new Manager at Everton

Vitor Pereira could be a potential successor for David Moyes at Everton, the Porto manager’s agent has hinted.

Moyes has been coy on his future in recent weeks and he could leave this summer, when his current contract expires.

The Scot is understood to be seeking assurances over the club’s direction and transfer plans before signing a new deal and Everton have drawn up a list of candidates to interview should Moyes call it a day.

Porto’s Pereira, who was former assistant to Andre-Villas Boas, is said to be among them, having won the Portuguese title in 2012 after taking over from his compatriot when he landed the Chelsea job.

And regarding rumours of interest from Goodison Park, his agent Christophe Henrotay, in an interview with O Jogo, said: “Rumours about Everton? It is true there is interest from several clubs.

“But now is not the time to discuss this. He does not speak with any club and this will remain until the end of the season.”
