Leandro on the road to recovery

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that summer signing Leandro Rodriguez may finally be over the dreaded hamstring injuries which have blighted his first few months in English football.

The young striker started brilliantly for the under 21’s scoring in his first 2 matches, but a recent injury from the end of October has sidelined him.

“He is training well now,” Martinez said.

“He lost the best part of six weeks and that happens, when you are coming in from abroad and you haven’t yet got the body to cope with the physicality and intensity of the British game.
