Jagielka wins three end of season awards
Everton captain Phil Jagielka has scooped at Hat-trick of awards at the annual Everton end of season do at St Georges Hall.
Jagielka added the Player of the season award to his Players Player of the Season and Goal of the season awards to take the clean sweep.
Jagielka’s late strike against Liverpool was voted as goal of the season.
It is the second occasion that Jagielka has been named Everton’s Player of the Season, replicating his achievements in 2008/09, when he also scooped the Players’ Player of the Season title.
“It’s been a great night for me,”
“Coming to the Awards, I fancied my chances of potentially picking up the Goal of the Season award with the one that I scored at Anfield but to get the Players’ Player Award and the Player of the Season was extra special.
“I didn’t expect to win three awards, and to know two were voted by the fans and one by my teammates makes it a night I’ll remember for a long, long time.”
How good has Jagielka been for this season?
