Everton targeting Mateo Kovacic transfer: Opened talks

Everton are looking to make a summer move for Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic according to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti.

The 20 year old midfielder is highly rated and is being valued at £15m in the report and the report says that Everton have opened talks with Internationale about a move.

“Kovacic is one of the best young players in Italy,” said his international team captain Darijo Srna back in December. “But if he wants to prosper, he must change his path. He would improve quicker if he were at a better club.”

The Austrian born Croatian has played 33 times for Inter this season and scored 5 goals and been sent off once.  He has represented his country at all levels and played for the Croatian national team 19 times.
