Ross Barkley set to sign new Everton contract

It has long been rumoured, but now the national press are writing the story that Everton midfielder Ross Barkley is set to sign a new contract.

The Mirror states that Barkley is due to sign a bumper new contract that will see his wage rise from £15kpw in line with his performances this season.

It has long been known by Everton fans that Barkley was due to sign a new contract and Roberto Martinez confirmed last week that Barkley and Coleman would be offered improved terms in the next couple of weeks.

The new deal is expected to tie Barkley to the club for a further 4 years and will be a boost to Ross ahead of this years World Cup, where he is expected to be part of Roy Hodgsons squad.
