Everton set to bid for youngster

Everton are set to put in a bid for young Dundee United left-back Andrew Roberton according to the Dundee Evening Telegraph

Everton have been linked with 3 of Dundee United talented young crop for a while including Robertson, Ryan Gauld and John Souttar, but with the injury to Bryan Oviedo that will keep him out long term, Everton manager Roberto Martinez looks set to make a move for Robertson.

Luke Garbutt was recalled from a loan spell at Colchester United yesterday, but it is thought that the club would like him to continue his football education on loan.

Robertson has played 27 times for Dundee United this season and scored and impressive 5 goals, so would provide strong back-up for Leighton Baines

Everton were going to wait until the summer, but injuries have prompted the club to move
