Luke Garbutt recalled as cover for left-back

Young Everton left-back Luke Garbutt has been recalled from his loan spell at Colchester United to provide cover for Leighton Baines in light of the Bryan Oviedo injury.

Garbutt has scored 3 times for Colchester from 20 appearances and has shown an attacking prowess that impressed the Colchester United fans.

The 20 year old has been with Colchester since September and is immediately available for a first team place.

  1. He deserves his chance. Its about time some of our “young guns” played its a massive game but with the injuries we have its a cheaper option than getting someone in. Shane duffy is also ready imo I’d play him over johnny
