Everton boss Roberto Martinez is ready snap up Spanish goalkeeper Joel Robles – his third Wigan Athletic old boy according to SportsDirect News

Martinez will clinch a loan deal for the experienced shot-stopper with Atletico Madrid to bring in the FA Cup winner as competition for Tim Howard.

The giant Robles, 23, was Martinez’s first choice at Wigan towards the end of the campaign and will be a serious contender to start at Goodison.

Former Spain Under-21 cap Robles cannot get a game in Madrid because of another on-loan keeper Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.

The cheap deal suits Martinez who clinched the capture of Arouna Kone from Wigan and is also signing Antolin Alcaraz on a free from his old club.
