Martinez: Our young players are consistently playing well
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has praised his sides young players and says that they aren’t just playing well every now and again, they are consistently playing well.
Martinez highlighted the fact that the youngsters are playing nearly every minute of every game and says that they are still playing with energy and bravery.
He said: “They are not just young players having a good game here and here. They are consistent.
“Romelu Lukaku has played 97 per cent of the total possible minutes in the league. Ross Barkley has been consistent. John Stones is a source of inspiration at such a young age.
“They are players who know their roles and are ready to cope with anything.
“That was the most satisfying aspect of the League Cup quarter-final win at Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
“Our young players performed with a lot of energy and a lot of bravery. They have a real responsibility and a real maturity.”
