BBC Sport confirms potential Everton takeover

Correspondents for BBC Sport have confirmed that Kansas City based investors are exploring the potential of a takeover of Everton Football Club.

Richard Conway who is a correspondent for BBC 5 Live confirmed that a group is exploring the possibility following rumours of a takeover by the group that owns Sporting Kansas City.  He posted this to twitter.

Evertonians were sceptical with the impending cub AGM approaching and also further news on the clubs potential move to Walton Hall Park, but fellow reporter Phil McNulty posted to say that the story had not come from the club.

There have been internet stories of chairman Bill Kenwright suffering ill health and that speculation intensified following his omission from the stands in the recent Merseyside Derby.
